Yeah I'm definately happy if I have some rocks to limb on.  Looking forward to more outdoor activities Boise offers as well.  My dad just moved there and loves it!  Can't wait to do some more hunting and the gun laws are way better than they are here in CA.
It takes a long time to achieve "instant" success.

The gun laws are way better here, if you like the outdoors then you will not be disappointed by Boise.  There are some rocks to climb on this area is basically a high desert, so there are some rocky areas to have some fun.

When I was there in June we drove up to Cascade lake.  I bet there are some great mountain trails up around those areas as well.  Ever go over to the moonrock area near Idaho Falls?  I haven't but was wondering if it was a 4wd type area?

I havent been to the Craters of the Moon area.  I dont think you can wheel there but there may be some similar terrain over there that is accessible to wheelin.  I am sure there are some great wheelin areas around cascade and McCall, Most of my wheelin was done in the Boise foothills though most of it is closed to offroad vehicles now. Lots of dirt biking and Mountain biking trails though which is what I have spent a majority of the last 13 years doing.

Welcome to Boise area.  There is more tough trails nearby that you don't know about.  We sponsored some trails for the Ultimate Adventure and they were impressed.  We have quite a few mild, med, and hard trails in the Owyhees-about an hour away.  Some as challenging as the Hammers.  Hook up with one of the 4x4 clubs.  And you can always wheel these trails in the snow for a challenge.
