toyminator2000 – There has to be dumb people in order for there to be smart people
I didnt know that they made any 2wd 84-894runners I dont think i have ever see one
quoted from toyotaoffroad.com" Introduced in spring of 1989, Toyota unleashed an entirely new breed of 4Runner. Based on the completely redesigned line of pickup trucks, the new 4Runner was muscular and aggressive looking, but still capable of delivering the off-road performance for which Toyota's four-wheel drive trucks had long been known. The vehicle was now available in either two or four door configuration, with either a four or six cylinder engine and with either two or four wheel drive. "
I went into NAPA today, and was looking through a catalog, and one of the vehicles was 2wd 4runner. It was listed as 85-89, I think. Did Toyota ever produce a 2wd 4runner in the first gen (runner) style? Just curious. If they do exist, any pics?
It was some acessories catalog, I wasn't at an actual NAPA store, I was at a NAPA Autocare Center. The store is on the other side of town. It had a listing like 84-89 2- and 4-wheel drive Pickups and 4runners. I don't believe it was a NAPA catalog, it was probably some accesories company catalog. It was just a strange listing that caught my interest, thats all.
Do you work at NAPA Duffil?
Do you get good discounts?
I think I might want to work there some day, I love NAPA almost as much as Toyotas.
It also helps to be able to work on things if you want to be a good parts guy. Since you're on the forum I'll assume that you can. I work with 2 lazy bastards...one of them always has me do his brakes, the other guy did an engine swap in a 90s Mustang and fried the wiring and computer while doing it.
yes I do.I pay 10% over cost...it's good, but not as cheap as one would think.
Maybe I am not quite ready for NAPA yet (Autozone, here I come! NOT!).
I get a better discount than you Calling FFC
yeah...Pigs Goats & Elephants have a good thing going.
Hey, if you come work for Pigs Goats & Elephants, you can get the same
There. Are. No. 2wd. 4Runners. Repeat that ten times.
Yes. But I still say that it's not a real 4Runner. Avoid this like the plague and repeat after me..."All 4Runners are 4wd" (preferably with big wheels and lots of mud on them )
