Need fuel injector connectors for Turbo Truck
« on: Sep 24, 2007, 12:13:37 PM »
Im trying to find need connectors for my injectors.  The original ones are in bad shape since the cracked when I tried to remove them.  Many years of use has made the plastic brittle.

They are different from 22re motors.

Any suggestions?

Just get a harness for the same year!  My truck was turbo and now its a 22re.  The connectors are the same!  Go to E-bay there are some connectors for sale, generally, that just need to be sliced in!

I will give that place a call.

The place that did my injectors can't get them.  Dealer wants $100 per connector.

I have been told 22re connectors won't fit on turbo injectors.  Did you use your turbo injectors on you 22re?

Thanks for all the replies.

A pic of the injector where the connector goes would help. Checked on DOA's site and did not see one that is specific to turbo, if you go on their site under induction you will see drawings of the different types of injector connections see if any of those match your injectors, then let me know which.

Found this site.  Appears the connectors are different.

Found them.  They are called a "standard" or "type C" connector.  Called DOA and he gave me a number for a fuel injection shop and they had them.

Thanks again

Ok here ya go.    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyota-Pickup-Truck-4Runner-22RE-INJECTOR-PLUGS-1987_W0QQitemZ320161692501QQihZ011QQcategoryZ40017QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

All you have to do is use a small jewlers screwdriver and remove the connectors and put them on yours.
