Well, since I've had so many positive responses and inquiries about my dash, I figured I'd post up the information on what I did to build it. First off, I used 3/4" square tubing to build the dash frame and 20 gauge sheet metal to do the face and top. I then used the stock mounting brackets to attach the frame to the truck with a piece of flat steel to attach the frame to the brackets. The sheet metal was attached to the frame using machine screws and the top was also attached to the stock dash mounting locations along the windshield. Here's a few pics and  a dimensional drawing of the frame.

Now for the real question - how much would you pay for one of those?

(though, I'd add in a glovebox, myself - nothing fancy, mind you)

Caboose

with glove box, 150-200 tops. 200 for sure if you could squeeze in the vents for air and heat.

How difficult do you think it would have been to have kept the heat?  I'm building a daily driver out of junk, and this would be sweet, but defrost is pretty mandatory.  Very nice job!

What DID you use on the floor?  It obviously looks a lot more durable than the OEM vinyl  :shake:  I thought about putting that dyna-mat stuff down under my vinyl to cut down noise.  It's LOUD inside my cab.
