Well what is the hispanic to Caucasian ratio in that town? If there are typically more hispanic's then it's only logical that a lot CHPs (and employee's in general) would be hispanic.

rocks and bugs suck on a motorcycle. i rode my yamaha yzf 1000 from san antonio to midland and back (about 650 miles total) and at one spot had a nice fat june bug hit me on my lower eyelid on my left eye (went in under my sunglasses and i had my visor up).

I hit/was hit by, what I assumed was a bird doing about 80 one night...almost knocked me off my bike.

Ok this topic is startin to piss me off,  I agree we should follow the laws, and mudflaps do help keep down the rocks,  But I feel people on here are all friends and Im not going to name names but dont be rude,  Chris is a fellow wheeler,  BACK HIM UP ! !   or at least be nice when you explain yourselfs ! !

I guess I wasn't raised with the "back him up" mentality.  By that I mean that I don't feel an obligation to agree with my friends or family, and I don't expect them to always agree with me.  If one of my friends is wrong, I'll tell him, and I expect the same of him if I am wrong.  Judging by the fact that you also disagree with Chris here, suddenly I'm a bit confused on what you mean by "back him up"!  Anyway, one of the things I like best about this board is that by and large, people here are respectful and generally pretty well-behaved.  Those who disagree usually do so in apretty constructive and respectful way.

Sadly, I also know more than a couple of "fellow wheelers" who are absolute jackasses and complete wastes of space.  Thankfully, they are not on this board...people like that make everyone and everything they associate with look bad.

I didn't read any vitriol in any of the replies.

You don't back up people when they're wrong...that doesn't help anyone.

Dont get me wrong are laws, but just be nice and explain it.  I do think that mud flaps might have saved me a few windows but hay I deal with it, on the other hand I would liked not to have replaced the windows.  Im a NEUTRAL person in pretty much all aspects,  I can see all debats from both points but lets just be nice here.   Im sorry if I offended anyone,   I havent found any one on this board I dont like,  so  in my own personal opinion Yes he should have to have mud flaps,  But there are PLENTY other things cops should be doing,  look in your daily paper and you will find lots of them,  like I said I agree both with chris and against him,  Again Im sorry if I offended anyone,  no one offended me in anyway.   like I said if you dont want to back him up just be nice when you explain your opinion,  thanks.     86bobbedtoy, heath
