Sandals has a hurricane guarantee so I'm not worried.  The eye is south of Jamaica so the north side should be mostly OK.  The resort last time was under repair while we were there, they were doing some roofing, but it didn't impact us at all.  I suspect this storm will do less damage than Ivan to where we are going.

My travel agent was actually in Jamaica for the hurricane and reports no damage where I will be going.  At this point the airport is expected to reopen today.

Back from Jamaica!  There was very little damage from the hurricane and we had a great time.  I am now a PADI certified scuba diver.  This is an amazing thing considering that I am not really comfortable in water.  I had a little trouble doing the "checks" at 40 feet but did them a couple of times until the instructor was satisfied.  I guess the main thing is that I don't panic easily since being underwater should trigger a panic as easy as anything for me.
