Working in the Middle East
« on: Jun 03, 2007, 10:07:46 PM »
So I am on my way to do some work in Afghanistan, right now I am in Qatar and it is HOT!! Putting up this post to B.S. with you guys back home and not jack your threads. So as my trip goes, and if on the base I am going to allows me to access this web site, I will drop in and give some highlights.

So far I got to spend 2 days in London and it was fun, stayed up all night and drank alot! Funny, never thought about how much more north they are. The sun is still up around 10:30 at night and starts to come back around about 3:30 in the morning. That is about the most fun I have had so far, now I am on military bases and the fun is gone  ::) Type some more later.......

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!

Fooo Shooo thanks everyone. Well things are sucking right now. Me and my friend were on a plane to get up to the base we need to be, and a fire sensor went off. So the flight was canned and we have to wait for another flight tommorrow morning.  :hammerhead: Show time is 0225 and it is 1:00 in the afternoon. We have a long time. But I did get a Marlin sticker up on one of the doors with all the other stickers.  I'll post a pic when I can get on the net with my own puter. Good times, suppossed to be 115 today, or it already is  :dunno: HOT!!!
Later All  Have one for me

The only problem I might have is getting on the website. For some reason the bases in the "War Zone" limit you to what websites you can get one. But I sent a PM to Infernal asking him to post pics for me just incase I can't get to the web site.

And I am going over for work, not in the service. Already did my duty with 41/2 years in the Marines. Now I get paid better for going over and working on the planes for the Airforce when it comes to the work they are not allowed to do, or can't do  :ha_ha:

Still stuck waiting for a plane  :dunno: but did get some sleep in a bed (not in a chair)and a shower   GOD I FEEL BETTER. See how today goes and if I can get a flight out of here, cause it is still HOT!!! Heard the base I am going to is a cool 80, not 115 like here.
