rolled my truck......now it wont run

its a 89 4runner, v6, manual.

so after a succesfull day of wheelin sat. i went i went again sunday, and after my friend told me a million times DONT DO DONUTS IN TOYOTAS!!! guess what i did....some donuts. and after a concussion 5 staples in my head and a pretty smashed up body, tody i tried to get it running.
   here are the simptoms:
can only get it to spuder, but it is trying to run
backfires out of intake
will only stay running/spudering if i pump the gas fast. the second i stop or slow down or try to hold it at an certain amount of throttle it dies.

the engine died before it was even done rolling. it was on it side pouring oil out of the intake for about 15 minutes before we got it on its wheels.
i havent pulled the plugs and tryed to get the oil out of the cylinders yet.
o and i sas it last weekend, man this sucks

You might have made your timing chain jump a tooth in the rolover thats about what it sounds like, i would pull the plugs and get the oil out of the cylinders as well.

You might have oil in the cylinders. Pull all the plugs & crank the engine over, let the compression blow most of the oil out & change the spark plugs

did you check all the fluids? usually after a roll, everything is fluidless, or close to it (trust me, i know)

hevnt checked the fluids, but the only thing i saw was oil. how would low oil keep it from starting?

Well if it has no oil this little thing called friction will eventually stop it from starting. By chance when you rolled did your hood hit the MAF?

pull the plugs and blow that oil out.  like rs said, check the MAF. 

I wouldn't be surprised if your timing belt jumped a tooth either.  pull of the top cover, and make sure everything is still lined up

pull the plugs and crank it over for a little then put some new plugs in top off the motor oil and try to start it again also it would be a good idea to check the gear oil in the trann/t-case and axles when i roll i normaly leak more gear oil than motor oil

Having oil all over the plug, which would keep it from firing, would keep it from starting. PULL THE PLUGS...you should have done that and checked the oil before you even TRIED to turn it over.

so  let me get this straight,  you rolled the truck,  then  without pulling the plugs  to let  the oil out of the cylinders  ,  you tried to start it??

   if  you didnt have a head injury  i would 

a 3.0  has a timing BELT,  and  im sure as it rolled  the  oil sloshed  against  the bottom of the pistons,  causing a bind,  when you tried to start it   you  killed the timing BELT,  which is alot better than  bend  connecting rods or busting a head  from the hydrolock  of the oil

go  take a nap  cause  you  gonna need  your head  when you start pulling the front of that motor off  to put a new belt on,  and

DONT TRY TO START IT AGAIN  till you get all those plugs out  and  at least  CHECK  to make sure the belt  is in one piece

you dont want to  bend  valves because  you keep trying to start it  with a broke timing belt

actually yes,  it should have a fuel pump  kill switch  but you would have to ask blackdog  where it is

If it hydro locked at all it probably bent  a rod. Oh and how do you ruin a timing belt, when in a hydro lock the crank stops dead. No cranking nothing turning.

damn... i love my 22re.... much easier to get to stuff compared to the 3.0... out of my two rolls we tipped the bad boy back over and  CHECKED THE OIL!!!!!!!!! it only leaked a half a quart, if that, and it fired right up both times!!!!! oh yeah and just to add to your list of how not to drive, gravel to pavement to soft dirt is no fun!!!! HAHA!!!!

It might for  bit, or it might not. It is a whole lot worse when it turns and then locks up.

i already have doors and a windshield in. tomorrow she'll have new fenders and ahood and a fresh rattle ca paint job

i just got a tranny jack and stuck it in there and bent it up. the driver side was pretty bad. it all straightend up new glass. doors are in fenders on. the engine is running fine. and 6 cans of turd brown, now its back on the road
