biodiesel that is only available from one person-0.48

That's ass cheap man!  He must either have a line on ultra cheap products or just really wants to get people using bio.  From what I've heard it usually costs around $.70 a gallon to make, and there was a local guy selling it for about that for a while.

I'm probably beginning to sound like a broken record, but I love the idea of running bio diesel and wish I could find an early toyota diesel pickup to convert   How bitchin would it be to get 40+ mpg and pay less than $1 a gallon?!

Hey guys, I was just thinking about Gasoline expansion..

I searched around and found and equation, I don't know if its right or not, but here's what I found:

API factor for gasoline is .00069/(degree F) * gallons * temp change F

I know the gasoline at stations is stored underground, so it's temperature is probably not really affected.....................

...........but just to play with some numbers, if you have a 14 gallon tank, and you fill it up with 70 degree F gasoline at 6am, it will hold 0.27 gallons of gasoline more than if you had filled it at 4pm when it is 98 degrees F.

Again, the gas stored at stations is thermally insulated by the earth, so its temperature probably stays pretty consistent throughout the day.

I know on the Bike, when its hot out side, I find comfort when filling up at the station. The gas tank probably drops to 70 degrees and it feels verrrrrrrry nice :disturbed:

Anyways, numbers and calculations just turn me on  :rofl2: :talkingn:

I just read about that here a couple weeks ago.  About how the warmer the gas is, the less your getting, but the more your paying.  Gas molecules expand the hotter it gets.  So the pumps thinks your getting 1 gallon, but your not due to the higher temp of the gas. There was a gal that was going around buying a gallon of gas and then taking the temperature and weighing it.  She actually started a lawsuit with some the gas distributors.
