The Cost To Recreate On Our Lands
« on: Mar 31, 2008, 09:21:17 AM »
Yippie, now you have to pay to play in El Mirage, they seem so excited about this new deal. I for one am not since very little if any of the money we pay will be used in the area. I would not mind paying if I knew for certain that every penny I pay went straight into the area, but we all know this is not the case. Time and time again an area becomes a pay to play area and we see very little come back to the area. Sure they throw in a pit toilet or two but that's about it. Most major improvements like the new road into Means Lake are paid for by our Green Sticker funds not by any fees paid at the gate.

I'm sure that Johnson Valley is being eyed for the same thing and will soon be a pay to play location, so get out your checkbooks and get ready to pay up.
