Well they're not supposed to look pretty, they're supposed to work well.I've had 3 sets of beadlocks and my last set the bolt heads got all phawktup from the rocks because they're not countersunk like your Trail Readys. It just makes it kinda hard to take them off when the heads are all rounded off.

Here is the story. The aluminum on the rock domes when coming into contact with a rock either sheered off, exposing the bolt or covered or molded into the bolt head.  :outtahere: I guess I could replace them each time, but their not cheap. :lipsrsealed: Truthfully, after running my grade 5 bolts for two years, very few of the bolt heads were chewed up bad enough that I couldn't get them out. A grade 8 bolt is probably a better investment. :twocents:

I'll try to snap a few pics for you or bring the Runner to the 12-1 AP gathering. ;)

A 12 point socket instead of a 6 point is easier to get on a damaged bolt head. Once the aluminum is deformed enough around the bolt it is much harder to remove than just smoothing the sides of the bolt head with a file. Bolts are cheap compared to the bling too. they do look cool when new though.

I haven't had any problems with my grade 5 bolts on my beadlocks......but they have not even been on for a year....  :dunno:

If the domes were made of steel and not aluminum they would hold up better. :headscratch:
