There a ton of people running big meats around here. Post pictures of your rigs and specs on what you have done to make it survive (i.e. cryoed diffs, 23 spliners, hub upgrades etc.). I would like to see if we can establish a baseline of what is necessary to run very large tires (40+)and what most frequently breaks.  :beerchug:

Rockcrawlintoy

1991 Toyota ex cab 22re dual cases and locked front and rear.
The front end is stock other then the gears and locker. i just keep the arb off most of the time and if i am in a situation when i think i might break ill turn it off. I have only wheeled the 40s once so i still have a long time to break them. I am saving for a new rear end and alloy axles and long field joints with deadenbear knuckles for good measure

No not yet, he rolled it with the 39's and just now got it out of the shop with a new cab, He hasn't broken a gear they are US gears and seem to be doing good. He has had to put new seals in the rear with new wheel berrings, when the berrings broke he did chip his ring in the rear but it is not bad at all he had it re ground.

Sweet truck! That thing is huge with those 42s. Do have any more pictures from the front or rear so we can see how much air is under the diffs?

I think people are forgetting the purpose of this thread, its great to see your rig and all... but we need specifics on what axle's you are running and what modifications have been to keep those wheels turning.

Would the height of the truck have anything to do with that? Nah....... I doubt it.
