minimal yearly fee= posting pics directly to site, having an avitar

I don't think we'll lose anyone.  If being a non-paying member means some tech will be off limits, I don't think that is a good idea.  I think that is when we'll lose people, is when their access to info is restricted. 

I'd like to know from someone who has a red star on pirate what the exact benefits are? I'm not a pirate member at all, so I really can't say.

that is a great idea!

I think the only difference between paid and not paid would be avatars and images, but you can always use something like photobucket and link pictures from there like a lot of people do.

Well when the search is actually up and functional...

No PBB red star = No ability to search PBB 

(unless you use the GOOGLE site search.. but I've not been able to make that work like they say it does...)

we're tossing around some ideas, but we have decided that everything that you have now for free will remain the same.
For paid membership you would get more on top of what you already get, so nothing will be taken away from anyone.

I think it sucks to have the 'search' be a red star thing... it opened up way too much stupidity in the tech sections. Now... if they made it a 'red star thing' to be able to post in ChitChat on PBB  THAT would have poured some BIG $$$ into PBB!   

Now it's just a mess anymore...

I wouldn't be able to post pictures. That would suck.

I am sure it wouldn't be like Pirate. I am sure you would be able to post pictures within limits and still have all the features you have now. Only difference would be added features.

This is only talk at this point to see what the masses think and see what direction the board could go to better the experience.


There would always be a free basic, but the basic would be more than other sites offer.
