Maybe make them lighter? Or give them some brown-ness?

Make them a little darker to give it more back ground contrast. I think it will give it more seperation.

If you're looking for a background picture, how about something like what you have in your avitar, but w/o the trucks?  just some boulders, with a sky background?  These rocks look too much like the bottom of a fish tank to me :dunno:

yeh, I figured you'd have an issue like that.  What about an image that stays in the background, even as you scroll down?  like a myspace page background?

Heck, does it have to be rocks?  :dunno:  Why not gears or toyota logos or marlin's logo  :thumbs: or even just broken parts? :gap:  Use a little artistic license, I say!  :usa:

I just say add some oil spots, exhaust parts and tire marks and they will look sweet haha. In all honestly though, it's nice to see something different though.

This is a good idea.. Well I am off for classes and if I get some free time in between, then I will play around with some other ideas.

One thing about forums is that I HATE black/dark forums for some reason. Especially I don't want to be affiliated with Pirates or some other forum that is trying to emulate Pirates.

I agree that these rocks are too girly but they are the best for tiling like this. A small image that is symmetrical will do best when repeated over and over..

I like the idea of gears/logos/boulders.  I was thinking at first why not find a bigger boulder background, but that's already been covered.  I like it for this reason: It's a change, and it's a good change.  And there's only room for improvement.  I'm anxious to see what you come up with!! :wave:

I like it Mike, but it doesn't seem right for this board.  Not many of us have tractor tires, and we wheel on the rocks not the sand.  I'm not trying to shoot down your ideas, just giving my  :twocents:
