i love enoying the holidays too, and being with the family since i dont get to much now.  but theres something about seeing your parents or siblings open something from you that they really wanted  :dunno:   :twocents:

Lady Di

It's one thing when you're younger, or if there are kids, but my family is in NJ, the only kids are my brothers kids and I haven't seen them in years.
We spend the holidays with Mark's family, and there are no kids involved there either, and no other relatives. It's just his folks and his sister and her b-friend.
There nothing they really need or want that would be particularly special and every year it was just going out and buying SOMETHING.
Over the years his mother has had some health problems so we agreed last year that it would be much more enjoyable, less taxing on the wallet and less stressful if we forgo the gift giving (shopping) and just enjoy the holiday together. So we do a big christmas dinner at the inlaws.
I love not stressing over what to get everybody.

I just want cash. It takes too much time and energy to try to explain to anyone that I want a super special thingy-ma-bob-dua-ma-flange, and it needs to be this size, so it will fit with that doo-dad. Therefore, cash is easiest, then I can just get it myself.
