Actually its some type of metal sides.  I don't know what he is using but hay the guy has no money, he just graduated college so everything he does is on the cheap.

topar

I guess it is a metal bed liner maybe an old two piece bed just the inside of an old truck bed  :dunno:

hey topar your truck is awesome. is it still for sale? did you get all the problems fixed?

topar

:yesnod: Everything is for sale.  Its just a matter of price.  No I have not fixed it yet, been working nights then spending time with the family have not spent anytime on the truck  :dunno:

avery120

ohh yes i understand. well how much the way it is? you could even keep the motor and trans if you want. then make a price??

topar

Have not added anything new for a while.  First off it is no longer for sale.  And I have a couple pics from the last time I wheeled it a buddy of mine just sent me.

I also taught him how to put in 5min of hard work and then spend 15min staring and admiring what you have done...

Since Cole was born I have pretty much been with him have not done much else.  Who knows one day I might actually fix the transfer case and blown head gasket and drive it again.  :dunno:

Well if you would like to donate to Topars kids charity fund.  I accept cash, money orders and Credit cards no rubber checks please.  Daddy needs to fix his truck

My buddy Zac has finished his truck for now.

topar

Another shot.  Zac made this bed.  I think its pretty good for an off road truck.

He took and cut sheet metal off of a vans roof to make his bed sides.  He has a frame inside of it that its all welded to. I think he did a good job.

topar

So I finally got around to working on the truck and replaced the blown head gasket.  Now I just need to replace the transfer case.  Also spoke to Zack the other day about his brown Toyota truck.  His grill is from a F150 that he cut down.

Wow I have not been on here in forever, Thanks though!  Today we got 2'5" of snow spent the day playing with the family took some pics of the Toyota in the snow.  I will try and post them in a few days.

Yeah it was a great Christmas, washing machine broke, wife is sick, dodge transmission blew a line replaced that now the tranny is slipping, but hay its Christmas and we had a great time!  Been playing with my son for three days now!

topar

So apparently I have a hard time guessing snow depth we get it so rare.  My neighbor tells me he measured our snow 15.5"  Guess I was wrong on the 2'.5"  One day I will post up some pics though.

topar

Trying out a new transfer case design.  This allows for air to enter the top so my gears can breath.  What do you think?

Well pulled the T case & adaptor out today.  Going to try & repair the adaptor if I get 1 or 2 runs out of it great, if not I will start looking for a NP 205.  Not in a great rush though its only been broken for about 3.5 years now.   :hammerhead:

topar

So I am taking the transfer case apart tonight & found this.

Not sure if you can tell but the gears are chipped & broken.  I have never worked on gears before & don't know sh!! about them.  My question is if anyone knows about them are these gears still okay for me to use or should I replace?   I am sure there are more peaces in the case looking at the gears & the amount of stuff I have removed.  Thanks for any help anyone can give.  Tomorrow I Will have the help & socket to finish disassemble.  :crossed:

topar

Yesterday I was telling a buddy of mine about the gears in my T case & how chewed up they are.  Today he shows up with a new T case for free.  Now that's a good friend!  :beerchug:
So I started tearing it apart tonight so I can twin stick it.  I love my garage two car garage lots of work space even has its own full bathroom, so you can take a shower without coming into the house dirty.  One downfall is our bedrooms are right above it.   :rivers:  Have you ever tried beating on intermediate shafts late at night and not wake up your wife.  Phone rang little after mid.  Oh well I will try & finish up next week.  I have to work the next two nights then we will be out of town for the weekend.  Pictures to follow of tonight's progress.
