toyota or dana 300 t-case would be good, dana 44 axles at least, or put toyota axles under it. engine wise you have alot of choices, if you want to stay jeep then drop the 4.0L inline 6 in it. tranny wise i say go with a manual, toyota, chevy, or nissan there.

PM bling'n xj.  He's pretty much got what you have, and I like how the rig is set up.

I believe he's got the 4.0 with a 5 spd, dana300, and the stock axles.  He's got a nice low COG, and he did pretty dang well on the 'con

I'm reminded of this Jeep.  Is this where the name "Little Skittles" comes from?

??? 5.29s and a low idle? :haha: J/K, it's just hard to go slow and stay cheap.  uhm, what do you consider cheap? which tcase does it have? If its a 231, dont they have a low gear kit? Teraflex or someone?  looks like other tcase options are 207, 228/229 and 242. I dunno about those.

if the jeep tranny is a ax5  then  all you need is the tail housing from a G52 toyota tranny  and you can put  toyota cases behind that bad boy
