and un fortunatly I could not get my camera to work at all for about and hour until we were going thru some really wicked dropoff around the lake just before the springs

sorry I don't know why but I rotate that picture before I post it but it just keeps rotating back . probably something I am doing wrong.

and just when we just about to the springs  BREAK DOWN #2

minisimps rear axle flex plate broke on both sides but only the passenger side moved

and it seemed like as soon as we got back on the trail we reached rubicon springs pulled into (i was told the same campsite as last year ) for those who were there last year . set up camp hint:(it is a real pain in the  to put up a tent in the dark when you have never put it up before)

OK after all repairs where completed we moved on to the slabs or the steps I'm not sure what you call it but it. but it was here that was the first time I taught I might see the rubicon from a different angle . and where my shutter started ruining my shot like the one of snowshoebrue. and the one of myself and FFC allmost vertical as she tried to go up a step and then falling back down From inside the truck it felt like the front tires for at least a short time where not connected to the ground and I know all I could see was sky. and I still to this day think she stood it on the spare for a slip second.

Mine have been at Walmart since two days after the trip I just haven't had either the cash or the time to get them.  Today the plan is to pick them up, we'll see how well that plan goes

  this is great Crashtest!

Even though it would be better if the shutter had fully opened, I thought the shutter being partially open gave some of the pictures a kinda arsty look.

Sure didn't seem like it too me   I did most of my body damage in the dark after between mini breakin and the springs.  I woke up the next morning and went "what the hell?  when did that happen?"

We lost ours at that off camber rocky area right after Buck Island!

Hell it's tough enough setting up a tent you have used before! Especially when you are DEAD TIRED!  but it was still a long tough ride between Mini breaking and the springs, that was at least another hour or more. We still had to do Old Sluice (? is that it? Just before the springs?)
Maybe you got rocked to sleep for a while in the 'Meego!

I got them.. not many new ones we lost 2 cameras So we didn't have many of the trip.  Mainly Snowshoebrue and BlingnXJ... When I find the other cameras I'll get more pics up, but the ones I have are exactly like most of them up here already.

That's why I pre assembled my tent in my house the day I bought it. That way I knew how to put it together in a flash. Campfire Girl was scratching her head though wondering why I put my new tent up in the livingroom.

When we got our tent we put it up in the livingroom too! the dogs were having a good ol time with it.

rocked yes! sleep no! and I guess after that long day an hour seemed like just after to me.

DAY TWO

After the most sleepless night I have had in a long time just as I fell asleep I was awaken (or at least that how it seemed) we ate the most unbelievably delectable breakfast w/the best coffee I have ever drank. the chef's truly outdid themselves.
( < making sure I'll get feed next trip too. ) of which I have no pictures because my batteries went dead and It took me 2 hours to find my spares and then I spent most of the morning of the second day trying to help MrsMarlin (hey does she have a screen name? I never thought about that until now) try to straighten out where all the boxes we had packed with the shirts ,and packets and such had gone we thought we had them all until we kept getting people coming for there registration packs and not being able to find the shirts that went with them. after a couple of hours I remembered I needed to clean the dust out of my camera so the shutter would stop sticking. but I did manage to get it fixed just in time to take pics of MWM and some gentleman who's name I am ashamed  to say i have forgotten (a little help here MWM) and his grandson who was afraid of flying(the grandson) but insisted on sitting up front where there is no door.  (way to not only face your fears but stomp  them in to dust)

they had the pre-flight briefing, then in comes the helicopter , unloads the last group, they load in.

and away they went up,and around , and over , and out of sight . and this is FFC in the mi-go with yet more lost boxes which still where not the missing t-shirts. (so much for me as a camera repairman)

First is BD , Willy mammoth , mike? , spotter , ruger , and (please don't hate me but I forgot your name) hanging out at mark's mobile off-road welding and repair. IE the mammoth never seen one man on vacation do so much work.
all thanks to WM.

and then MWM just sitting next to the mammoth (it looks like she is deep in thought) but she's really just vegging.

and turbo driving his RC rockcrawler up the rocks behind the stage .
