Sway away is the only company I know that makes stiffer torsion bars for that style truck.  What's a pre dolphin?

A dolphin is this.

I have never seen a 79-83 body style Dolphin, so that must be where the "pre" comes in.

Not exactly.  In your other post you mention it has front coils, which means it's no newer than 78, and makes a big difference in what front springs you'll use.  Motorhome manufacturers at that time ran a year behind, often selling a 78 as a 79, an 83 as an 84.  I've seen em dating back to the early 70s, and dolphin is only one brand, this is why I asked what a pre dolphin is.

front coils could be used from a ford aerostar minivan,  and just add a leaf or 2 to the rear

...the guy told me that h thinks its an 79 but its more like a combo of a 78 and 79...thats what he said...but yes it has front coils and i dont recall any torsion bars...also its not a dolphin i was just using that as a referance as to what it looked like
