uhm...I think yer missin some dash parts...

Are you going to use the stock dash, or build a new one? Also, I know you said mechanical gauges so I'm wondering if you're gonna put em in the stock location or ???

well my brother is givin' me a deal on those seats and some autometer gauges, so i figured since i'm goin' that far i might as well have him help me build a mild cage and a custom dash... pimp this thing out to the max.

well, still waitin' to order parts... we haven't got anything done yet.

but besides the '82, i've been helpin' my brother with a few projects. he got a '96 (i think) Tacoma with the motor and bellhousing ruined, and then he bought a 5VZ-FE and the tranny that was on it (r151?) and swapped it all over. out of the same truck he got the rear end (with E-locker), some deaver rear leaf springs, and a few other misc. parts. the rear end is still waiting to be swapped, but as soon as he gets some bolts for the bellhousing it'll be driveable.

then a few days ago his boss bought a '91 regular cab, and we changed the rear main seal last night. it was nice to get back under a toy.

okay... i haven't completely wussed out...

the plan is to get back just behind the steering.

OK, you'd better have something to stuff those parts into. :spankbutt:

Alright, you got me baffled.  What about the TDI swap?  Come on dude..you better have another first gen at least

tom w.

haha i'm sorry man... the TD is goin' into my dad's Willys.

basically what happened is my truck sat for a good month or so, and i haven't been able to afford anything for it. we  have another truck sittin' in the yard with a good motor and what not, so we decided it'd be best just to take my drive train and put it in the other truck.

i'll probably start a thread shortly.
