Body lift for 85 Runner
« on: Jun 20, 2006, 10:13:58 AM »
If I am going to do the Marlin 5" lift should I still get a BL? I am planning on running 35x12.50's. Will I need more clearance than the 5" Marlin's will provide? Also will a 2" BL with the 5" springs make my runner too tall? I just kind of need a place to start. Thanks for any info/ opinions.

5" lift should fit 37's
I think BL would be too tall, unless you plan to belly pan it.

If you run the hard top on your Runner I would run the 4" in the front and the 5" in the rear. :twocents: Here is my Runner on 35" MTRs with 4" Marlin springs all around and NO BODY LIFT. :)

4 inch springs, 2 inch body from 4Crawler, 2 inch engine lift from him as well. Push the gas tank up 2 inches. Custom cross member and a clocked Marlin and you can about flat belly.  You will have about 4-5 inches better break over clearance with that set up then you will 5 inch springs and only be 1 inch taller. Also improves cross over oil pan clearance.
