Torque Rod and Braking
« on: Jun 19, 2006, 10:33:11 PM »
I was talking to a bloke the other day and told him I had removed the torque rod off the front diff to gain some wheel travel. He asked if Ihad noticed if the truck pulled to the left when braking and I said yes.

What causes this and how can I fix it short of putting the torque rod back on?

Thanks.

Yep, good link, thanks. I should have searched first I guess, just forgot. Hmm, I think I may have just the shock to fit in there.

I just had a floating MC turtle go past. Do I win a prize or something?

the shock that i used was actually 1 inch too short...i made a bump stop that made up the difference. if you have stock push pull, i'd advise you to use a shock or an extension for the stock rod.

No I don't have Hi Steer, just stock push pull (no swaybar). I'm going to hunt down a shock today, gee I hope this works, it'll be nice to be able to fix a problem cheaply instead of spending $$$$$'s to get back to where I was.

Thanks.
