Topic: What gear lube do i use???

 i have a 86 toy 22r all stock, what lube do i use in the tranny and transfer case??

API GL-4 or GL-5 75w-90 For Transmission and Transfer Case.
API GL-5 SAE 90 for temperatures above 0 degrees F and 80w-80 or SAE 80 for Tempertures below 0 degrees F in the Diff.

i don't recommend using GL5 oil in your transmission, as it can make for notchy shifting(too slick).  GL4 is what's called for, redline MT90 is a very good choice.  i believe amsoil has a similar offering now, and sta-lube makes 80w90 GL4 oil, but it's not much less expensive than the redline synthetic(6 bucks a quart vs 7.99)

Redline is indeed popular. MT90 in tranny/cases and Heavyweight ShockProof in the diffs is my top choice. MTL in tranny/cases and MT90 in diffs as alternatives.
