Do you think I should keep the cab or go buggy?
A buggy sounds good, but does it get cold there. I want a buggy but can't commit becouse I like my heater.  A buggy would make it easier to have 4 seats though. :twocents:

I started making a list of things I still need: (some of the parts I haven't checked around on prices for...I'm sure I can get some of them cheaper)
Engine Mounts
Radiator(I'm gonna get a new one $675 from LC Engineering)
Fan Clutch(might not need one if I go electric fans...free up some power too)
Optimas(Grandfather owes me 1 b/c he took it to put in his Fairlane
Winches(not necessary, I won't be getting stuck )
Taillights and Trunsignals (LED's are pricey)
Tubing for bumper, shock mounts, sliders, cage(I'm figuring 5 more sticks)
seats(EBAY more than likely)
seatbelts(EBAY)
fuel cell (gonna build it)
dual rate kit for my coilovers ($95 per shock)
coils for my coilovers ($100-$150 per set, need 2 sets)
tabs to mount them(gotta get metal)

flanges(Marlin)
driveshafts(whoever can build them to stand up to me)

t100 oilpan and sump
3.4 swap components
flywheel($300 LC Engineering)
clutch ($400 LC)
pressure plate
throwout bearing
starter
alternator(Mean Green $370)
steering(AGR)
tierod(Bud)
Draglink(Bud)
brake lines

lol

that's quite an impressive list and exspensive one, too.  I wish I had the foresight to make that kind of list instead of getting halfway through something and realize I need to order more parts.

My buddy Grant brought me an early christmas present...he got me 2 motor mounts and an engine mount to replace the one that was busted when I got my engine. I welded a stud into the block where the bolt busted the cast(not hard to do I found out)

Tonight I assembled the reduction box for my dual case setup...I used a Marlin 23-spline "total spline technology"  Check out my bling'n ass case!

Thanks...I'm hoping to get some of my cases cleaned up tomorrow. I have a 4.7 case to build for a guy and I need a dummy case for me(light weight :) ) If I can get that done fairly quick I am going to "try" to put the cab back on it in the afternoon. I'm going to go ahead and start the "modding" of the 2 cases for 4.7's...mine and his both.
I also have to build a x-member for the cases...so I don't think that getting the cab back on tomorrow is a realistic goal.

Try working a ton of overtime, having a 7 month old son (which is great) and your project truck sitting in a garage 45 min from your house.  Thats why I don't get allot of progress on mine.

Mo' progress!...I got a case gutted tonight(finally) and I mounted it to the drivetrain. I started figuring the t-case x-member and the front suspension.

flat belly

I also got a 21-sp 4.7:1 case built for a guy in our group

I sell these if you are interested...$500 and your old case...there can be alot added to them if wanted too
21 or 23 sp 4.7:1 t-case  $500 and your old case or a core charge
        add 3x drilled flanges
add B Long 4340 output shaft
        add MC HD shift springs
        add Twin stick
        add lowpro drain plug
        add complete new bearings
        add dual case adapter
         and the list goes on...
That's how I roll

MADE SOME PROGRESS!

I finally got around to finishing up a few things

1. I got my t-case x-member built

1 3/4 DOM tubing.....BIG poly bushings(3/4" bolts)

Need to finish welding the bottom of it

flat belly

2. I flipped where the exhaust dumps from the pass. side to the d. side(I used all stock pieces!)

3. Cab is back on the frame

  engine bay

4. Got some seats

2002 WJ 8-way power adjustable, heated leather seats

Now for the problems I encountered

1. Shifter

The t-case shifter is where my trans shifter should be, and my trans shifter is under my dash

THE FIX: I have to pull the trans again to put the clutch, pressure plate, etc and 4.7's in. When I do that I'm going to convert the t-case to top shift(prob make a 3x stick to incorprate the twin stick from rear cases) from front shift and "dog leg" the trans shifter

2.Seats

The seats are waaayyy comfy, but the are too damn tall. My head rubs the top of the cab.

THE FIX: Cut the brackets and drop them down as much as possible.

I already figured out how to get the 8-way to work but I'm going to have to go back to the yard where they came from and rob the heat button. The heat has 4 wires that work it so I need the multi-switch to make it work.

Need t-case parts?
