Awesome Build!!! Definitely my Favorite. When all is done, approximately how much lift do you think the truck will have?

SHE HAS MOVED! I finally got around to moving my truck from the corner onto the lift! I mounted 2 of the tires on wheels and bolted them up to the rear axle and it will roll as long as the front is supported.

Here she sits on the lift now

I also assembled a dummy set of cases to mate to my R151F.

I also went ahead and put the new bearing on my MC 23spline input gear

I am hoping to go get the engine(again) tomorrow or Thursday. Now starts the daunting task of installing the 3.4 and trans/cases.

MORE PROGRESS! First I removed the old engine mounts(7MGTE) and ground off the slag from it and the old shock hoops. Next I removed the cab from the frame. I did this b/c it'll make the engine, trans and cases swap go easier. I AM GOING TOMORROW TO GET MY 3.4L!

Once I had the cab and frame seperated I pulled the frame to the front of the shop and set it up on jackstands

H1's make it so easy to remove a tire from the wheel

As soon as the weather clears up some I'm going to spray the bottom of my cab with SIMS(like Line-x but better)

I got an engine today! 68K miles...2000 Model Tacoma V-6 3400. I also picked up a R150F bellhousing so I can mate my R151f to it.

BLING! R151F Attached to dual cases with a clocked adapter!

And here they are in all their glory! 3.4L, R151F, Dual clocked cases. I already found them a home too!

Plates are done! I'll have them here on Monday. I'll also have another cab here to chop up and use for all my mock-up(cases, cage, engine, etc).

My plan is to cut the top out of the other cab so I can get all my interior cage pefectly figured out before I go hacking into my good cab...and the same goes for my cases...

nice work man.  I really like how you think things out before you just start ripping into your rig.

btw what do you do for a living.

I got a decent amount done today...alot of small stuff but it was time comsuming and I need to get some parts put together so they take up less space

This past weekend I picked up my runflats for my H1's(I forgot them in Charlotte about 4 months ago)

They take up quite a bit of space and I needed to put them somewhere where they take up less of it. So, what better place to put them besides where they go.

Inside the tires

The next daunting task was to grind the slag out of my wheels from where I removed the 8-lug centers. I am gonna get them sandblasted this week so I can assemble the whole wheel and get that out of my way

After

In order to get a nice clean edge it took this

A :pokinit:-ton of grinder discs and flap discs
The pile of dust that was left behind

I also got around to do some welding on the bedcage in places I couldn't get to with the cab on

I am going to get some 1 1/4 DOM in a day or two to make some pieces in the bed. I also have to get some 1 1/2 DOM for the cage and another project.

The plates for my interior cage are here so I guess I can start on that soon

I also started trying to locate where my engine goes in relation to the frame: PITA(pain in the ass)

I've got to fix this ear on my engine...it was busted when I got it and it is where the motor mount goes...I'm going to weld a stud in there

I bent a piece of tube tonight.  :D    I also took some measurements for a fuel cell. I wonder how much that is gonna cost me.

Just a little crossbar...I still need to cut that BIG piece out and build a tubing x-member there

I'm going to tie it in to the piece above it with some smaller diameter tubing.

I'm going to mount the gas tank here above the upper link...(It'll be bumpstopped and guarded from the link)

Are you talking about that cross member that the links are connected to?  If so, is that for the driveshaft or...?

Always look forward to your updates.  This is a spectacular build.

Yes, It was b/c I had it and it fit perfect and square...

I'm going to cut engine mounts tomorrow. I built a "mocked fuel cell" tonight. I also took dimensions on my cage.

I can't wait until January, my insurance will take effect and I'll be able to go to the doctor and have the pain in my gut fixed (March is no longer a goal: I figure I'll be out of the shop for at least 2-3 weeks for surgery :( )

It sucks cause I'm not supposed to pick up heavy stuff, so wtf am I gonna do, everything on this damn truck is heavy.
