:driving:
So i picked up the Supra off my friend for 600$
The car has 157,000  miles on it but the moter has around 25,000.
There is a K&N  and a  intercooler (factory looks like)  boost comp(13psi),   fuel timing comp, and blowoff valve
Now i have ridden in this car  and it's fast . The paint needs love  +trim work   and the inside. well it needs to be pimped.
Also need 2 do brakes  and it has no exhaust  eccept for a rusted holey down pipe.

Here are some pics

FYI u might be able to sell the safc and boost controller and make close to ur money back..

um its a  factory wastgate is on it.... fyi

and i think this car might be worth holding on to if ur willing to do a head gasket.. EVERY turbo 7m will blow. unless its a metal head gasket. so do u have a daly driver???

GoaT

oh and if its a j-spec motor im sure it has about 50+... but usually great motors still

The short block came from japan...  as for the head gaskets  ill ask.  As for the boost comp it's not mine or the guy i got the car from.... so I will have 2 give that guy $$ when he finds out i have the car ( Friend 2)
I  am 75% sure  i will fix the mechanical  stuff  so i can get it on the road.  So i can take my time  and rebuild the moter on my DD 93 truck.

if he tells u he just got the motor and put it in. just plan on the head gasjet blowing on u expecially if he was running it as had as he was.. i got 6 months out of my head gasket running 13 psi...

it need to be a metal one or it will blow no matter what u do.

for a temp prolonged fix pull the valve covers and tapthe hell out of the head bolts and retorque to about 80-85 i think been a while. let me know when u do it and ill find out exactly what lbs it need to be....

GoaT, you'd be surprised how cheap those Apex'i SAFCs go for on eBay. I doubt he would get more then $300 for the SAFC and the boost controller...

That engine looks really clean. I vote to either clean up the car a bit and then pedal it for $1500-2000, or part it out. It would be nice to put the Turbo Transmission in your truck with a 23-spline MC :turtle: Crawler setup :bling: but course its a 2WD R154 trans, that not only has a higher first gear (3.30:1 vs. 4.31:1 R151F), but you will have to completely tear it down to replace the output shaft and tail housing, and replace the shifter base and shoe, all of these parts being from a 4WD transmission.... So basically you would need nearly an entire 4WD R-series trans just to convert a 2WD R-series trans which, of course, defeats the whole purpose.

Part it out mang :gap:

unclejpl4x4, so does it at least run right now? How does it idle? What are the gas prices out where you live? Might want to lower the boost back to stock if you don't plan on running premium.

well the car dose run  drove it on the trailer and off ,  I could drive it down the street.  The oil is good  but im gona change all the fluids.   it did idle a little rough   but the plugs where wacked and lots of bad Vac hoses.   I have it apart atm  till i get hoses + i need a battery.

As for gas i was told it gets around 21 miles a galon ?  witch is more then my truck... and yes im gona de-boost it   i was also told i have 2 run "super  93 oct"      it's  2.39-2.45 for reg here.

Man, strip the interior, put in what is neccessary, the outside dont look so bad. relatively minor. spend a lil, hop it up and run it like that. I may have a big core intercooler for ya. just no piping.
