dual t-case noise

does anyone else with dual gear driven cases hear noises form the t-case. both cases are '81 and seemed to be in good condition when i slapped them togethe, i  generally here the noise when im slowing down. im hoping its just the nature of the beast, and yes they have oil

yea  you will hear some gear noise with 81  cases,  luckily mine has the later quiet run gears

We have had many comments on noise in my dual cases-----
It will not appear when you are on the gas, only when the truck is in the float or decel [coast] condition.

The most common problem is driveline angle especially in short beds and 4 runners.
When ever a c/v joint is used at the t/case end of the rear driveshaft, there cannot be any driveshaft angle at the rear diff. This usually requires cutting off the spring perches, rotating the axle assm and rewelding as required.

Also check front motor mounts, exhaust system for clearence, rear center pin bolts, bent driveshafts...
