its awsome seeing the faces behind the name....  I always think I know what someone will look like based on that persons name or how they conduct themselves on this forum but then when I see the person, sometimes it completely throws me for a loop...  as well, it neat thinking that someone is probably a lot older and they end up only being in their teens, or vice versa...  oh yeah, i am 34 by the way...

oh yeah, I forgot to post this recent one....   79coyotefrg  posted a comment about the pink barbie jeep thing and it made me remember what i saw at toys"r"us but only better.... I was shopping for my little nephews and came to the battery operated vehicles and got annoyed with really the only option being an h2 hummer or a pink barbie jeep....  then I walked a little further and saw this gem!!!! it looks like a 79+ toyota landcruiser!!  if I had kids they would sooooooo get one... heck, I wanted to buy it for myself but the 500 dollars canadian was kind of a turn off...

shooting my roommates russian rifle.

looks like a Mosin Nagant. 88 bucks at Big 5 and a hell of a gun for cheap.

Hyena

it was like $120 out the door  :)  its got quite a kick for how cheap it is.

V-Man

It's got a kick because you've got it too high in your shoulder maybe....Or the butt stock is too short for you.
:headscratch:
I recoil pad that adds about an inch to an inch and a half could solve the problem...Cheaper then a new stock..

unclejpl4x4

No he just needs 2 hold it out with one hand and have a  in another

J/k    I saw a pic of that on some site the other day.

You are mostly right, and you're holding it just fine   It shoots a .30 caliber bullet, usually around 150 grains I believe, and the case length is between a .308 and 30-06.  Couple that with the fact that they don't have a kick pad like most sport/hunting rifles, and it's gonna kick pretty good!  If he stuck on a quality kick pad, the kick would be reduced, or, actually, the felt recoil would be greatly reduced.  There are some amazing kick pads availabe today, but you'll pay quite a bit for one too!
