Today Tallchevy and I went to Petaluma to the swap meet and truck show put on by PMC club of Santa Rosa . Even though the venue was of small scale there were some good deals to be had and a great raffle (which I won some stuff in  :gap:) but best of all...look who we met there! that's right! The man himself, none other than, Marlin And his wife Christine ! She took the pic.  Not only does  the man own and operate one of the most popular names in offroad he doesn't shy away from showing up at a venue like this one, which BTW he had donated some great prizes for their raffle. He's without a doubt one of the most down to earth business men we've ever met. No wonder he's a legend  :king:.  He was even so kind to stand still long enough for a picture with us  :snapshot: (Tallchevy-left, you know who that is in the middle, And me on the right). The man is a whirlwind of information and good nature . Marlin is a philanthropist to our sport. Thanks, for all you do Marlin, you're awesome! Also, for anyone who hasn't yet met Marlin, you will be pleased by his humble nature and well (but quickly) earned respect.  :respect:

Oh and Monday, I'm ordering my dual case adapter!  :cheese:  :cheese:  :cheese:

Shamb

funny thing is, if you walk in Marlin's shop.. if there's nothing to do he's over in his "nitch" just cleaning nuts and bolts by hand.

everytime we cruise down there we chat for awhile, as Fordh8r said.. most down to earth guy you will ever meet!  definently legend material.

 well said!!!

I met him at WEROCK, I was snapping shots (wearing my MCR5 shirt and Marlincrawler cap) and he walked over to me, and started talking!  Thanked me for coming out and supporting them, and asking what I was running in my truck (MC10), how it was working, what I was using for a crossmember, etc!  I even got his business card, signed by him!!  :woohoo:

I had a lot of respect for him already, but for him to come over to me, while his formula toy was running a course, and have a quick conversation just blew me away.  What a great man!
