Welll......got most of the SAS kit but we're still waiting on the shocks and springs.  Got 2 free T.I.T.S. shirts though, thanks to Steve!

Got an 87 bed that's in better condition than the first gen bed I had on it.  Got that put on this weekend and painted it today to match the cab.   :willynilly:

Also pressure washed and cleaned the frame and then painted it with that bedliner spray that I did the inside with.  Got a cool Grant steering wheel.

Scored a roll bar, but didn't quite get it bolted down yet.  Took the truck up to some land that Jan and I are in the process of buying and apparently is IS important to bolt the roll bar down before playing.   :_oops:

so yeah.  been house sittin at my father-in-law's house in the middle of the sticks.    and my nephew showed up last night and flat out stole my truck.   we were at a pig roast and the truck was sitting at jan's dads house in the middle of a 10 acre field.   we got home this morning and the truck's covered in mud.   i proceed to check it out and the engine is toast.   not a single drop of oil to be seen on the dipstick.   blown head gasket at the very least.   i've been checkin the dipstick for about 2 hours now and there's not any little trace of oil.

so......i now own a nice big brown EFFING TURD.   i can't even express how mad/sad/furious/disappointed/etc. we are right now.   it's jan's nephew and he's 18 and he's been in some trouble here and there.    she called him twice and we threatened to call the cops before he finally confessed.   it's a pretty bad situation.   and he doesn't have a penny to his name or any way of paying for what he's done.    and we just bought that land we've been talking about and are looking at building a new house on it.   there's no way in hell i can afford to fix it now.

so i don't know.  right now i just want to set it on fire and forget about it.    :maddest:

awww man brian, that really blows.I'd call the cops anyway, family or not.I'd feel differently if youd actually let him use it,but him stealing it breaks all family ties.I'd force him to get a job and pay for it.If not then we'll get together and tie him up to tree some where and have some "squeal like a pig" fun.Ok maybe not like that but you know what i mean.

I really hate that happend to ya.If you could use a 20r I've got a good one I'd let you have. It'll be ok,karma will come back. :therethere:

OK.  Soooo, after a couple weeks of letting everything cool down after the "truck disappearing incident" I have been slowly going over my truck and correcting the stuff that went to :pokinit: during the "joyride."  After differential draining and lots of cleaning, I have determined this: my motor still runs but it's not the greatest.  My truck seems to be OK.  But I only drove it for like 25 miles to my buddy's garage where we just started cuttin the front end off.  Pics of SAS coming soon!    :wag:

IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.
