I am pretty sure whoever did the web page knew you'd find it, and was pushing your buttons. Just ignore it..

Every time a marlin vs. allpro thread comes up on pbb, it gets deleted... Gotta love the politics... Keep those precious ad dollars coming in from All Pro... '

sorry to hear it have you tried just confronting them about it and see if they are willing to do the right thing and stop plagerizing, maybe they will handle it in a professional manner.

Kharma, is in both of thier futures. You'd think PBB would see the storm coming. AllPro sees the storm clouds forming, that's why they are snooping around here anyways.

But they wouldn't have deleted it, they would normally just move it to Chit-Chat.

For me it crap like that puts PBB in the same boat, just can't trust what they say anymore. You used to be able to post your mind there and except for getting flammed for being stupid you could post your experiences with all products so that others would know what is good and what is junk and who had integrity and who could not be trusted. I guess when $ talks even they can be bought. Now I'm not saying All-Pro doesn't have some good products but their integrity is shot for me and I now think the same of PBB's hierarchy.

Jon used to call advertising on the PBB Blackmail. As in, he paid for the banner ads so AP would be defended by the mods on the PBB. Guess its working.

Nope, dont work there anymore. Not since april 05. Me and Jay King (with AP since 98?) got our own shop in corona now. (see sig) And we are authorized MC dealers too.

Today they reformatted the page but are still using the photo and text. I have already talked to them last year about taking my photos. They had taken and used one of my wheel bearing photos. They know it's wrong yet they did it again. Surly they understand the legal line they have crossed.

I called and spoke with Sara

, the "Manager" this morning. She claims that they have not copied our photo and they have taken their own photo. She said that the photos just similar to each other. They also just happened to write the same discription, word for word. Wow, maybe they had me cloned from some hair a left at my old desk back when I worked there?

It's interesting they were able to get the lighting, highlights, color, angle and shading identical to my photo. If they indeed had the skill to do that, why would they not have placed it on a gray background as they have done with most of the other photos on their site?

I think I have an answer that explains how Sara could be telling the truth. They must have had me cloned. I used to work in the same office that Sara now works in. I'd guess we were even using the same chair. With a pair of tweezers she must have carefully removed a hair from the seat. Assuming she sent it off to the lab right after my departure, they would have had two years to create the clone. Once completed the clones first job was to add the flange to the web site. Being a clone, Chris II would naturally think the same way I do and come up with exactly the same description text. Having the same desire for photography, the clone would also have pursued a similar camera and computer editing software needed to make the shadow.

The one problem with this theory is that. When working at AP my repeated requests for quality equipment were denied. I used only what I could personally afford to purchase. We had a motto at the shop. It was not until leaving AP and coming to work for Marlin that I was able to step up to pro-level equipment and software. Marlin immediately understood the need for quality equipment and the positive affect that would have on the web site and other marketing. So how was it that my clone was able to obtain the same exact equipment that I now have access to? I guess it's just a theory at this point.

It's all about quality from beginning to end. You got quality equipment at Marlin because Marlin thinks about quality in his products and how to display them in there best light........ hmmmm, wonder what they think about at AP?
