all right year ago i did the o so ever raved about rear chevy swap, exactly the wasy everyone else dose, 11" forward, /\ shock mounts, dual shakels, three inch blocks, and rears up front. recently i decited to get some high angel drive lines made. so why leave the suspension system in that was built for those drivelines (this is how my mind works, dont ask, i dont know)so off came the bed and oh my god there was rust (most of you are used to seeing this but i just moved to montana from arizona where the truck had been for 20 years and only gotten 86K miles on it so it was a shock this was my 85 rust free baby) i went and bought a schoots gun and a bunch of gator guard to line the frame, when i noticed all the extra bracketry left behing from the swap and the additions and removals, so if im gona make the frame look good its gona look realy good so i started cutting and grinding, dont need this, what the hell is that, tore out my make shift /\shock mount, anyway its all gone now i had to have taken of 20 pounds of scrap but is all nice smooth and ready to shoot now. oh yah the reason i took the bed of is so i change the suspension i did the front i shimmed the axel i put on longer shackels im happy with that and now its time for the rear. ok now heres my question i already have the chevy hook up all the old bracketry is gone what should i do with the rear end, buggy new double system, move the hanger back and long solid any new ideas (ihave no problem trying somthing new and tearing it off if it dosent work all ideas up in the air please ill attach pic of my old set up and what ive done to the frame in a few min.
thanks

I'd throw a set of chevy's in there, and make a longer shackle. If you don't like the idea of an uber long shackle, then move the rear mount back. This way, you have the truck to drive, and wheel while you studdy link geometry's, and such.

Since you asked, I'll say that for the rear springs on a link style set up, if I was going to do it on a budget, I would use Aerostar coils, or else get a set of F350 (I think) rear leaves, and do a quarter eliptic system. They are the springs that are three inches wide. If I had the money I would go with a set of Bilstein 9100's, or else a set of Air shocks.

UNBREAKABLE

do 1/4 elliptic....That is what I'm working on right now.
That's how I roll
