I'll fiddle with the c.s.i.t. but as for the turbo tube, it will not run without pressure. the minute you start pulling off the tube the truck will die.

heh, status....well I havent messed with the turbo at all yet. In almost 3 months I have maybe driven it 100 miles. I am just not using it enough to want to fix it I guess. I am seriously thinking about just selling it.

Ok, I fired up the runner, pulled it into the garage, and for those that care, I attempted to rebuild my turbo yesterday. It just so happens that the kit I bought, only half the parts were machined right, so the bearings and the o-ring fit, but nothing else did. So after meessing with it for the better part of the day, I got restless and  just used my old parts with the new bearings and O-rings.

Afterwards I took it for a drive, knowing it wasn't gonna be a 100%, It's a huge amount better, but not perfect. Now that I am positive that was the problem , I am gonna save up for a good turbo, but for now, it's driveable. :driving:

I am gonna take it on a 200 mile trip today, and see what kinda milage I get. hopefully better than 9 mpg :ha_ha:

I took the runner out weenie wheeling today and tried to climb a long steep hill.
I put it in 1st (auto tranny) and started up the hill  I got about 100ft up it and it was bogging out, after coming to a complete stop from lacking power, I continued to keep it full throttle.
I heard a bang from the tranny area, and vioala, I started right back up the hill no problems. Made it all the way to the top no problems.

Solenoids in the tranny?, torque converter?, any tranny guys know what this sounds like?

well I went and fired the truck up, today.
After driving it down the road, I noticed that when I let up MOST of the way on the throttle, it had a very small burst of power.

so I advanced the timing a bit, and VIOLA.......the difference was like night and day. It has literally, twice as much power as before.

now just to see if the milage as better than 9mpg

I appreciate all the input from everyone over this thing. :yesnod:

That's really strange.  I wonder what the heck the bang was from.  Time to find a ct26 I guess :yesnod:

well after playin with the timing a bit more, and resetting my afm.

I can power brake, and roast my brand new 31X10.50 MT's on dry pavement, :gap: when before I couldn't peel out in gravel, and that is literal, it was  useless.

I am now gettin  16 MPG

I am stoked

As for the bang, yah, it's got me stumped. but hey, I can't whine to much at it anmore, it's pulled through for me
