no i dont think so. im going to be hitting JV up in april though. im trying to conserve money and distant wheeling trip to go all out with my truck and make it ready in april. i was about ready to order some steel wheels for $335 from summit because i thought that was the cheapest i found. pat saved me $110 and im gonig to order them somewhere else.  are you going in jan? do you have a build thread?

make sure they aren't reversed center wheel because weld on beadlocks won't work with those.

That's what Staun's are for. :yesnod:

alright so i could only get the first 2 wheels on because i ran out of time and had to go to class. i got the other 2 wheels on just a little while ago and will take pictures tomorrow sometime. i have a busy day of school, then run to work to do some stupid ceiling work, then run back out to american tire to get my wheels balanced, then go back to work later on. the snow saturday morning. chris, your coming. thanks for coming along tonight.

They are reversed center but thats the nice thing about them. The reversed center basically acts as a beadlock since the drop center is on the backside of the wheel. On the last Rubicon run, most everyone with steel reversed center wheels bent the :pokinit: out of them. The solution was this... weld simple rock rings onto the wheels to prevent bending. Anyone with steel wheels should do it :) Here is what they look like...

alright i have no time to reply or read because im pretty much late to work. anyways i got the other rims on last night and just got that balanced 20min ago. more on this later.

a few other guys were over when i was transfering my tires on to the new rims and some of them were saying to bob it. the pass side rear is pretty beat in. most of it would be cut off along the body line but id still have to bang out the body and i dont know how well it would line up. i want it to look clean. im thinking im just going to build a bumper and run a hoop on it like the sliders. it can get beat on all i want and be fine. you know! i talk to you all the time.

thanks i am finally starting to like my truck alot now. over break im going to try and get a rear bumper done and then work on the next biggest project, ya the duals. i cant wait. im going to try and go ultimate but if i cant by hammers it will just be the regular deal. i wont see this happening till march/april time.

from what I remember it looks like most of that dent would be cut out with the bob and I know from experience that its alot easier to straiten out a bed cut in half  then one thats still whole.  I wouldnt really be hard at all to get that to line up right and once you have some bondo on there whats a little more right?

either way duals are a good plan and I wouldnt worry about ultimates but there nice(even though ive never used one)

Yota4life

If you going to build a bumper then bob it first. From what i remember at mcr5 that bed got banged up pretty good. Being an xtra cab its just too much ass and with a bob, and some straightening it would look good and a lot more clearence for steep inclines.

No. Bob it :D No ifs ands or buts :)

kiyul4130

so after reading all the bed bob posts i went out and stared at my truck for a bit. i guess it wouldnt look to bad and its for a good reason, clearance, but i do think that a full bed with wrap around bumpers are cool and i do like the length of my bed. generalee7 has really been bugging me to bob it. he gave me the idea to crop this pic. i need to decide because i dont want to take the time to make a bumper for a full bed if im gunna have to re-do it. ill give it some thought. :dunno: i need to decide soon though because i can only get this work done over break at my best friends shop. we have really bad conflicting scheduals....
