well i got a another tranny today from goose here on the board. that was awesome. i got it up in there tonight and tomorrow the duals will go back in. after that ill fill everything up with oil and cruise it down to the shop and flex it out the fork lift to so i can limit the front travel so the u-joints in the DL dont break again up front. when pulling everything out tonight i also noticed my front range crossmember was broken. no big surprise since every friend of mine thats owned one has broke it. so i reinforced it all tonight and it should hold up a lot better now.

no, they are a great idea, and i highly reccomend one to anyone, but you will nee to beef it up like shown here, or a lot of other threads.  they just arent strong enough by themselves, but once they are gusseted, and plated up they are awesome.

tires are on it. we just have to lift the fenders up 4-5 inches cause there bigger than the old ones.

That was a wise investment to buy new tires that are 10 ply.  I had a trip where I blew 3 tires out and couldn't find a spare that I was willing to buy.  I was stuck in a little town for the night and some shop wanted 280 for 1 tire and it wasn't even a trailer tire.  Needless to say I found some old guy who had a shop and he sold me 2 used spares for 50 bucks and put them on for me.

After that suck ass trip I bought 6 new 10 ply bias trailer tires and have 2 brand new spares.  Thankfully my trailer has triple 7000# axles.  Its a very nice peace of mind when I'm towing out in the middle of no where, I know that if worse come to worse I can just let one axle hang and make it somewhere on 2 axles.

that was all callen. props to him on the tires for sure. well we towed both trucks today to another city and back. we went 30 miles and according to him it tows pretty well even though were gunna look like clowns going down the road.

by the way here are some better pictures with a little more light from yesterday evening. we pulled the trucks on and off it 3 or 4 times now. well mine. we had to lift the fenders 3" so the tires wouldnt rub and then reinforce them cause my tires sit right on top of them.

the five OH is just about buttoned up as well....

he got some beadlocks for it.
