trailers are for boats, drive your truck

WHITE_TRASH

I drive my junk everywhere but sometimes its nice to have it in tow.  Ive had my truck on a trailer 3 times.  Only once because I broke it and had to bring it home.  If Id have fixed it and drove it Id have missed work.  Much better to just toss it on the trailer and come on home. ;)
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

trailering is the only way to go when you want to beat the crap out of it and not worry about how to get it home. That trailer looks just like ours...better go check the backyard!

Wheeling is so much more fun when you don't have to say "I better not try it because I have to drive home 2.5 hours." Haul it in, haull it out.

Yea, and you never know when you might have to trailer your tow rig back home  :_oops:   :psss:   I know cause I had to do that once. :smack:

That is not a pleasant experience. A friend of mine borrowed his dad's brand new duramax and pulled into the gas station on fumes then found out they didn't have diesel. There was another gas station exactly one block down on the next corner. He pulls out onto the street and has to stop at a stop light halfway between the two gas stations then ran out of fuel at the red light with his trail rig on the trailer. He unloaded his big blazer and pulled the truck and trailer to the next gas station and spent the next two hours getting it to suck fuel. The funny thing was the mileage meter said it still had 30 miles of range when it shut off.

Yeah, and the trailered truck wasn't street legal, had unbalanced 38" swampers on it, we had to tow the tow rig up the interstate and it was all it could do to pull the trailer about 40-45 mph before it started fishtailing. That was quite the ride that day!

Glad I have dual cases, it is gonna be quite a load pulling my 1ton and 20ft trailer with the 22re.

I feel soo much happier trailoring mine.  It had see nthe tow truck twice after trail rides.  I decided never to have to pay a toe truck driver again.  So i can still beat the crap outa the truck and not have to worry about calling a tow truck when i brakes down on the road.  A lot safer too.

Hmmmmm thats pretty. Ill pick one up someday...after my junk has seen the trail for a while and isnt roadworthy anymore. Funny story: I found a 77 Trans Am for sale that I was going to buy but my parents didnt want a junker sitting in front of the house and wouldnt help me out getting it home. They pretty much told me that if I can get it home then I can get it. :shakehead: I couldn't afford to call a tow truck so I borrowed a trailer from a neighbor friend and hooked it to my 88 Ranger with a 2.9L V6. That fawker was squating like a pre-runner so bad after I got the T/A on the trailer. And it didnt even have a motor in it. When I went to take off I wasnt sure if I would have any clutch left after the first stop sign. Threw her into 4Low and tried again. :yesnod: I loved the looks of disbelief on peoples face as I towed my new prize home in 5th gear 4Low. Although the cluth never felt the same after that. Shame is I sent the car to the junkyard after I tore into it more and found the floor to be rusted out. Oh well

Nice trailer, I flat-tow my truck everywhere. Keeps me honest and reminds me to take care of my truck since I don't have a trailer. Used to have one but sold it, put the $ into my rig. I always figure if I ever happen to break my truck that bad I can use my AAA plus to get it home or rent a trailer from Uhaul.

Thats what my ticket home would be...just hope it never resorts to that.

Last May I bought my 20ft 10,400 GVW car trailer for 2400$ in Minnesota. I was always borrowing people's trailers to haul stuff then I got it and hardly ever use it. But my trail truck is nearing completion so it will get used a lot next summer. Before I had ever hauled anything with it I let a friend borrow it. Bad move, I don't know what it is about trailers but something always gets wrecked. The guy tore the angle iron off that holds all the wood down  :maddest: I hadn't even used it yet! Then he said he would fix it but never did. Finally his best friend fixed it.
