Thanks for the replys guys..  I guess the pin striping could be worse! Must have been an 80's thing!  Im in Oregon City...  once my Runner is done I plan on doing a lot of wheeling..  I will definitley get a hold of you to do some wheelin.

Yep...I'm in Salem you better bring that thing up to TSF to play with us.  Good lookin' Runner.

chim

I plan on it..  but I heard that the Forest service went through the brownscamp area and killed some of the trails and graveled them due to errosion??  Any word on this?

had trouble getting the rear axle centered in wheel well, after moving rear hangers back 3.5" and the front one 6" it was pretty close.. test fitting a 35" bogger, then we are prepping the 87 rear axle for install.

Sweet buildup. Wish I had the money to do it all at once like your doing. I've had to piecemeal it together, one thing at a time.

Keep up the good work.

chim

We pulled out the front diff also, and started getting things torn apart for a knucke servicing.. my messy side....

chim

the side matt was working on ended up being a lot cleaner??!! :screwy:

This is the cross member I am going to use..  we made these at my work..  I made a few extra that are up for sale too. just like the one in the picture.

Did you put that carpet in, looks like some quality 80's throwback :pokinit:...sweet!   :disturbed:
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

I dont know where it came from... but I can cut you a pretty sweet deal on it! Vintage, so I think its worth more now than when it was installed! :yesnod:

chim

Here is a shot of the factory crossmember and one case, then the case getting torn apart on the bench.

chim

Here are my shocks.. I had to take off the 12" Bils in the front because there was too muh shaft showing in the un-flexed position, so it got changed to the 14" bils...  you can see the difference here...

chim

My ARB and Yukon 5.29's installed in the rear 3rd....

chim

Marlins adapter Installed...

chim

Interior view of cases installed, nice shifter placement, now I have to modify the console...

Nice buildup, I'll be in the same boat in a couple of months    Marlin Trail flex kit, duals, 4.7 gears, rebuild front axle etc...

Your 4Runner is nicer than mine interior-wise.  I'm starting out on the cheap

Here is a pic of the cross member we made (we have more for sale for cheap!) Also got my drivelines back, had a CV put in the rear to help with the vibrations...

chim

Here is a picture of my dash with the new sr5 instrument cluster in. Also this is a pre photo before some switches get added and moved.

The next picture is of the wiring I had to modify to move the two switches that were in my center consul to make room for the second case shifter. The two switches I moved were for the rear wiper and the rear window..  what a pain!

chim

Here are a couple pics of the shifters put in and the console trimmed up...

chim

Here are pics of my relocated switches and ARB switches installed.. My window switch was put right above my stereo in a factory hole..  and then you can see that I mounted the rear window wiper switch just to the right of the ARB switches in a factory hole...

chim

Here is a shot of the knuckles going back together..  and the new longer shocks...

chim

I just ordered my tires and rims.. should be here Monday.. I cant wait!!! Tires are 36x13.5x15 IROK

Volcom

You'll like the Iroks.  My brother has the same ones on a Jeep Wrangler.  They are very soft and stick to the rock well.  They aren't the best choice for a DD but he drives his Jeep to the trails so they get some road miles.  Did you get the bias or the radial?
