What hub?  It takes a 10mm to remove the dial assembly on the locking hub, a 12 mm to remove the hub body istelf, a 54mm to remove the bearing hub, a 14mm to remove the spindle and a 17 to remove the bearing cap/steering arm to get the knuckle off.  The diff is removed with a 12mm and the pinion flange is removed by a 32mm(?) socket.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

if your diff is leaking oil because you need to replace de seal, just remove the bottom cap and remove all at once.

I had to read the entire thread 2x...his axle is leaking, not the diff.  If it was the diff, then I would have told him it was probably due to a dented inner lip from the ring gear...oh well...

Back to the subject, Mile Marker had a cheap, thin hub socket; it was included in a hub kit I bought a while back.  It is better than the one from Sears because the edge of the (Sears) socket is rounded whereas the Mile Marker socket has a squared-off edge.
