I have to say i'm impressed with the Tahoe it pulled my truck up to the Con without a trouble. Cruised up Ice House in 2nd doing around 30-45 mph around the turns and it hugged 'em just fine.. I only burnt 1/2 tank all the way up there and all the way back which was exactly 121 miles each way.  Soo.. 242 miles to 13 gallons = 18 mpg  :yikes:

Definently had to ride the trailer brakes on the way out but the brake upgrade will fix that problem.

Never dropped below 55 mph heading up hwy 50  ;)

its the 1500 with the 5.7 345hp and 390ft lbs of torque. well i guess its not fully loaded but it has all power and cd and the wood grain junk and all the climate control and the over head temp gauge and direction mumbo jumbo. i'm very happy considering i'm 18 and am paying for it myself. no leather either because i HATE leather seats.

oh yeah, i don't have it in my possesion yet because there is some sensor recal getting fixed but i think (not positive) there may be fog lights in those holes in the bumper.

Shamb

what type of axles does it have under it?

hmm.. 1500 what is that 3/4 ton?

What kind of rig do you plan on towing w/ it?

honestly i'm not sure. probably similar to the chrysler 9.25. i dont have a wheeler yet because i sold my jeep but i just plan on building a mild 85 yota. anything i build can get driven to the trail head anyways. if i do end up building something crazy like your truck though i'll just buy an early 90's cummins for like 8 grand.

as soon as the warranty is up i'm getting intake, header back exhaust, posi in the rear and the sts remote mounted turbo system that will give me 417 horsepower to the rear wheels. i want my truck to eat lightnings so i guess you could say this one won't see the dirt like my last ram. i'm going to build a yota for that haha

I bought my Dodge new in 98.  1500 which is what I have is a 1/2 ton.  I placed a deep dish tranny pan and a tranny cooler on it (Tranys are the weak link) I have never had a problem with mine and it goes wheeling.  Been buried in the mud around here in VA. and it has been through Paragon up in PA.  Now I use it to tow my Toyota. :usa:

motorider228

hwy 89 looking down toward walker valley.  I took the long way home. hwy 395 beats the hell out of 99 if you've got the time!
all i want is a little more than i'll ever get!!

motorider228

i took 395 from vegas to sac. where were you going on 395 from carson city? it's a pain in the ass to drive but it's definitley a beautiful drive.

MR_DIY

I'm going yota JUST so I can buy from Marlin more.

where did you get the trailer from and for how much if you don't mind me asking?

snowshoebrue

its an 06 dargo.  i got it from bc trailers in manteca.  it cost 2340 it's an 18ft 7000 lb model it has the beavertail,  electric brakes, it is the xtra wide model i think it is like 83, 84" between the fenders. it has the heavy duty ball setup it has a 2 5/16 instead of the 2".   i got tired of looking for a used one so i bit the bullet and bought a new one.  they were like $600 cheaper than traveling toys in tracy and bonander in turlock.  plus they are close on like 15 miles for me
