tcase with 41210827 on bottom

 :dunno: its a busted case i got for zip,  but the drive flange is weird,  2 holes match but 2 diagonal from one another are offset

the center piece what holds the crawl box to the rest of the case has this number stamped to the bottom,    41210827


 ???

So that case was made in December of 1984.

so whats up with the weird offset of the 2 bolt holes on the output flange??
