22r smog removal

what vacume hoses can be removed around the carb, what needs to remain for the motor to run properly?    :beerchug:
84 pickup smashed slightly

90 4 runner SAS front/old lady wont let me drive it

1961 baja bug 1914cc motor

just pull em one by one while the truck is running when it starts idling rough or dying leave it! thats what i did! :beerchug:

Leave all the short hoses that are on the carb itself and leave the hoses that go to the distributor.  Other than that you'll still need the vacuum line for the brake booster and pcv valve.  Other than that rip all that crap out of there and enjoy an engine that runs better and has more power.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

i think the carb can be made to run without anything(LC strips them down for racing, choke removed etc), but it'll be a lot more driveable if you hook a few things up.  i have both distributor advances, AAP, choke opener, and choke breaker hooked up.  the first 2 have ports on the passenger side of the carb, while the last 3 all hook into the VSV on the center water pipe between the #2 and 3 cylinders.  here's a diagram of how i've got it hooked up
