I just got back from pick n pull and i realized what is the cheapest way to make a quick release swaybar disconnect...   I was walking through the fullsize vans and i noticed that the old seatbelts they used were similar to the seatbelts they use in airlines today...    I figured that it would be pretty cool to use seatbelts as kwik disco swaybars....   Just weld one end of the belt buckle to the axle and tie the seatbelt strap to the fram and buckle it up when your on the street and tie it up when your on the trail...  just my  :twocents:

Ill try to get some pictures for you guys.... i just graduated and moved out of my parents house cause of some problems at home so im on my own financially and im pretty much broke... i dont have a computer and i dont have the money to pay for kwik disco swaybars taht cost money... so i figured id share this with my fellow wheelers    :beerchug:

Uh....the seatbelts would work ok under tension, but would have no resistance to compression...  :smack:

Maybe he means limiting straps?   :dunno:

Maybe he figured out a way to push on a rope?

No sway bar on my truck and it drives great at 70+ mph.  I don't have the softest springs in the world, but if you feel that you need a sway bar for safety, I would recommned adjusting driving style to match the truck.  Lifted toys are not sports cars, that is why god gave them 4 cyl engines.

Moving out of the house there jared is not a good idea  :headshake:  I wish I wouldn't of moved out of my parents, free food and rent, those where the days, now I have a mortagae and food ins't cheap.

But anyways if you are looking for a room to rent, my brother and his room mate are looking for a roomate. I believe its $450 -$500 for rent and you would pretty much get rain of the house along with my brother cause the other roomate / owner works out of town during the week so the Big Screen is all yours. Just a thought PM if your interested, it's right here in Galt

A sway bar wouldn't have any impact on death wobble I wouldn't think,A heavy duty steering stabilizer should cure that.

Come to think of it, my truck didn't have a sway bar when I bought it...it never even occured to me that it wasn't there until I went to do the suspension and didn't have to remove it...truck drove great.

My rear shocks are triangulated as well, but then again, I also have IFS which I am sure makes a big difference

I drove my 79 around for a couple years  with no sway bar, worn out front shocks,a spool in the rear and no power steering. It had the factory shock setup on the rear like this / \.It handled fairly well and didn't have that much body roll. But it did still have stock saggy springs also.
