Daily Treads

I'm just curious if anyone who uses their rig as their daily driver and saves their "Rock" wheel+tires for play, what do you use for daily driver tires?

I know alot of people use BFG Alterrains but Im looking for something more :stopit: than that, something inexpensive but about 35"

Probably Im looking for some dump tire brand that is only measured in the xxxmm/rim size/profile. I dont even know what a 15" wheel and the same size as about 35" is using that method of measure. Anyone know of a good tire size converter/calculator on the web?

I plan on using my truck for alot of highway miles, visiting friends all over Cali and I dont want to waste MTRs on the pavement. Any suggestions?

Thanks
BigMike

With a  P-metric tires size, the closest to a 35" tire is 315/75-16(which I believe is the current LC size). It look like aspect ratio is limited to 75 series which in order to get that tall a tire forces the rim size up to a 16". I belive this size also requires a minimum 8" rim width probaly 10" to be stable.

Those BFG KO's do pretty darn good in most stuff but mud. I know a lot of folks that run them and I am concidering it as well. A bud has a used set for 32's for $230 for 5. I think I may buy once some of my junk sells. They ride good as well. I ran the previous AT on one of my trucks and was quite happy. They wear like IRON.

Costco sells them about $140 mounted and ballanced with road hazard. Still have to pay taxes.

I ran BFG AT 32's on my 93 4Runner for over 85K miles (2 sets).  They are really decent tires.

What size is 235/75-15 in inches?

235x0.75/25.4x2+15= 28.877952755905511811023622047244" so it's almost 29"

235 = width of the tire in mm
0.75 = percentage of the width of the tire = height of a side wall
25.4 = 1" = 25.4 mm or 2.54 cm
2 = 2time the height of a side wall
15 = rim dimension
