When gas hits 3 bucks +...I think the theft rate will drop.

 Because its so easy to steal. Just about any late 80's Toy can be started with just about any late 80's Toy key. Hell I accidently started my 86 4Runner with the key to my wifes Honda Accord. The locks are junk.
