Hay willies, looks like you should have built a boat there instead of a crawler :hyper:  :rofl2:
:psss: and best yet, Vino, the rainy season hasn't even started yet!! It was relatively dry out there. The best is yet to come!!  :driving:  :disturbed:  :beerchug:

we don't get constant rain. just big gully washer 20 minute downpour storms that blow through. In June they start just about every afternoon. You can just about set your clock by them.
I can't wait to be out in the Mammoth on a hot summer day when a big storm comes through. :cheer: WOOHOO!

Well it's been way too long but Sat. night MrW decided it was about time we finally got out again to test 'er out.
Sunday we went to the same area we had been before down past Seaworld. With all the rain we have had the water was good and deep, and with the winch on the front we could really give it a good test to see how it does about not getting stuck.
And it performed like a CHAMP!

I suggest to MrW that he lock in the hubs before we actually got into anything, but does he listen?  :haha:

We had some company when we took a break for lunch. A couple Sand Hill Cranes were out and  about and didn't much seem to mind our presence.

MrW wanted to use the winch. The Jeep was dead in the water, he didn't want to snatch it and it would finally give him a chance to test it out as we never once needed it in all that water, which was a damn good thing as no sooner did MrW hit the switch for the winch and POINK one of the hydrolic hoses popped out of it's fitting. No winch, no power steering! Seems when the guy put the fitting on the hose he didn't have it on all the way it.

Here we were tooling around without a care in the world out in the middle of nowhere. We weren't worried We had a WINCH!! LOL!!
Would have been a LONG WET walk back to the main area to go for help if we had gotten ourselves stuck! But no worries, the mammoth hardly broke a sweat in all that.

Ok guys, this is what you have been waiting for. Here is the clip of us pulling the Jeep out of the water hole. This thing was not running and nobody was driving.

The only rocks here in Florida are the kind you can get arested for having so we will just have to learn fast when we get to the Rubicon.

and we will not be alone, I am sure there will be plenty of people that will be willing to help show us the ropes and give us a few pointers, not to mention ride shotgun with MrW while I do the filming.

It is for me :rivers:
:sad2: Well you will just have to settle for living vicariously through all us then.  :disturbed: you know we will be happy to share our experiences with you...for instance...

We had to test out the Battle Cruiser and Jeep on the road, so we made our way up to the Osceola National Forest at the top of the state. About 300 miles round trip.
MrW did all the driving, so he will have to fill you in on how that went. The trails up there were awesome, very wet, and that Mammoth is AMAZING, except for water that was just too deep there was nothing it wouldn't go through.
Did not get it stuck once, again...

LOL! The willy likes it best when it's wet!

We had put the baskets in the back of the Jeep to take the dogs with us, but it was just too hot out so we left them in the comfort of the Battle Cruiser back at the Lake City KOA. They didn't mind at all, it had to be mid 90's with 60%+ humidity, it was HOT, but that trails were a blast.
