1982 Toyota Pickup muffler
« on: Apr 24, 2020, 05:43:20 PM »
The tailpipe and muffler on the mini needs replacement and the local shop wants $400 to do it.  After losing my job I need to try a do it yourself version.  Since Walker doesn't list tailpipes for this year model, wondering if a 2nd or 3rd gen would be close if not the same if anyone has an idea.  Thanks!

So, that's my question.  Will the 89-95 bolt up to the 82?

How serious do you wanna get?  You can get a 10’ length of exhaust tubing cheap at a muffler shop and pre bent elbows and build your own.  If you wanna do it right you can get a box of random mandrel bent pieces on ebay and run whatever muffler you want

Update.  Purchased a 2" 3rd gen replacement and looks like I will need to make a intermediate pipe around a foot to finish. Using some used Toyota flanges off a 100 series that I think will work.
