I love the smell of most coffee but hate the taste. My routine is a single morning real sugar Pepsi.  I can skip without negative issues most of the time. When I can't it's my signal to back it off a bit.

I love me some of that green coffee every morning.
I have a routine that I keep to, large fountain drink cup of Mt. Dew every work day morning. It's my reward for getting up and going to work. When I take the first sip I say " oh god that's good  :pokinit: , thank you baby Jesus"

I used to drink a ton of Mt Dew when I worked at the mill.  These days I just can't stand anything that sweet.  Coffee, milk, water, beer and maybe iced tea is all I can stand anymore.

Agreed.  I used to drink too much soda and quit 2 weeks before a long hiking trip, then just didn't drink it for 2 years.  Started drinking it again and got back to drinking too much, and again quit a few or several months ago (cannot remember when I quit :dunno: ) but for no real reason this time.

Only coffee I can drink is Noble.  No sugar, no creamer, just straight.  Very mild and smooth taste.  My friend has a coffee shop that only brews and sells their coffees and had me try it since I said I can't stand the bitter taste.  Turns out the bitter taste is done by companies allowing the beans to be picked at random points of maturity, roasted all together, then roasted a 2nd or 3rd time to account for the non-mature beans

I love coffee, but it now gives me heartburn.  There is a coffee roaster across from work, and when they fire up the roaster it smells soooooooo goooooooooooddddd!!!!

so funny that most of the guys on here from Washington don't drink coffee, that's just wrong. I use this aeropress https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0047BIWSK/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473445128&sr=8-1&pi=SX200_QL40&keywords=aeropress&dpPl=1&dpID=517aTTC-7pL&ref=plSrch for my single cup a day. keeps me regular and brews a quality cup

I have one of those. A buddy bought one for me. I don't use it that often but it is super badass! One of my favorites for camping.  I might bring it in to the office now...

In regards to the WA guys not being real coffee enthusiasts, I went to Seattle and you have to really hunt to find good coffee there.  Really freaked me out.  Starbucks has homogenized the coffee experience over there.  I would swear they are even cloning baristas.

Super friendly people. I made an order and then emailed the for prep recommendations. They responded with a different grind option as a recommendation and even after my order was ready to ship they swapped out the product. Multiple emails from both the education and shipping people.

Nice!  My friend researched what kind of coffee he wanted to sell when he bought his coffee shop and landed on Noble.  When he contacted them they said they only allow you to sell their coffee if you come to their place and go through some training and can prove you're passionate about good coffee.

Unlike you connoisseurs  :thpst:, I drink swill every day. Maybe not quite swill..... Yuban dark roast which IIRC used to be Columbian. Twelve cup Mr Coffee filled to the ten-cup level and it's usually pretty much gone by mid-afternoon. Started drinking coffee in the late 1960s (yes, kids, I am that old) and it hasn't killed me yet. If it's a drug, I guess I am hooked.

I tried to drink the god awful starbucks coffee they leave in the hotel room last night.  4 doses of sugar and cream and all I could still taste was the over-roasted bitter taste.  Gross.

I swear I don't know how anyone can gag down Starbucks. Tried it once and that was enough to last a lifetime. Horrible stuff, must be an acquired taste. No offense to any Starbucks lovers out there.

My younger son Jake (age 11) and I went and had double espressos together this morning.  He only drinks coffee occasionally because I don't want to start him out addicted. He is however learning how to tell bad coffee from good, develop a sense of how it's done etc.

As usual some old lady freaked out when they saw him drinking it.  Now an espresso has about the same or even less caffeine than a typical fast food sized soft drink everybody feeds their kids.  Of course there is this misconception that straight espresso is some kind of insane rocket fuel.  It actually has less caffeine per serving than a regular cup of coffee.

Anyway I told the lady that he quit smoking last week to I had to give espresso as a compromise.
