actually he has no fealings.. that 6' 1" guy got it from his daddy for his brithday.. and he wanted a car...

"""""" It is true that it was broken down about a month ago, I have taken it in to have it fixed, which it is now. They put in a new rebuilt transmission, took it to rancho offroading, and corrected the front shackle angle. Also, the driveshaft was not there when I recieved the car as a gift. My parents didnt know i didnt want a monster truck when i asked for a car for my birthday, car runs great now with absolutely no problems.

this the e-mail I got back.....
Quote
The car broke down once, and someone managed to take a picture of it. I had it towed to rancho offroad where they did all the work on the truck to make it as good as new. I have reciepts for all of the labor. I am not a truck guy, it was a gift from a friend, so there is not much i know ,other than it cost over 4k to fix my "present"

You asked:
"why is it sitting on the side of the road is it broke down?"

It is being harbored in a Body Shop of a friend of mine. I do not have a bay or garage to harbor such a vehicle at the present time.

I asked him why the trans needed to be replace.  1 simple innocent question.  See what he tells me.

Probably because that POS Chrysler trans can't handle anything more than stock tires.  :dunno:

[sarcasm on]  I think this guys truck is the safest Durango on the road.  You guys have to remember that Durangos had a huge recall recently.  Their front ball joints were failing and the wheels were falling off.  I saw some sweet shots of Durango 4x4s missing front wheels on the news.  So the SAS is safer, since they replaced the junk Chrysler IFS.  :shake_head:

last time i had a math class 6'-1" was 73" not 71".

my favorite lines
"or simply driving over anything you please."

if it doesn't tip over

"I can provide reciepts for all the extra work I have done on the truck, which total around $5000."

sounds like some quality parts and fab skills for that price

"Front Driveline - it is actually safer to drive this truck without the front driveline because of its high center of gravity. "

:smack: nothing else to say :shake:

:dunno: I dont get it, his buddy gave it to him as a present, but he isnt into monster trucks. but then he put 5k into it to make t a monster truck :headscratch: what gives?  I also believe on of the email responses said that his parents gave it to him?  so which is it?  And even if it was a monster truckl when he got it, why would he put 5k into it then sell it if he didnt like it?  and why does his ebay ad say he got it for fun, if he didnt really want it??

I'm confused  :headscratch:

So he put a total of $5000 into after he got it?  Thats $4000 for the transmission.  What about the other $1000?  Front driveline?
