Evidently none of the aftermarket Toyota 4X4 parts companies answers their  :phone:  much less return a call from a message (Except for Marlin Crawler and L.C.E :clap2:)     It's getting frustating, i have two projects I'm trying to work on but am not getting anywhere because of this. :headshake:

I have been researching headers and have read the stories (on this board) about the poor customer service but had not experienced it.  So that is going to make my decision pretty easy.  If you make the worlds best header, or part, or componentwhateverieum, but don't answer or return calls then I Do Not give a RATS @#%!! I am going to go with the company that does.

The other project, I have left 3 messages clearly asking for a call back so i could ask a question and make an order and nothing yet.  wich is lame since no one else makes this part that I know of.

Maybee it's the time of year. :dunno:  Maybee I'll give them one more chance.

sorry all I'll get off my

I've heard good things about summit's customer service too.  All I can say is don't call DOW*** or NW** looking for decent customer service, it ain't gonna happen.

I must be in the minority cause I got great customer service from Dow*** on the most esoteric little issue.  I have dealt with them a couple times and they have been excellent. :dunno:

Maybe because you opened with, "hello, this is (insert your name here) calling, and I have just today spent $72,000 with you".  Just never question whether or not they are the only people who know about toyotas.  And don't you dare mention the fact that their catalog used to state "due to safety issues we will NEVER make a lift of more than 3 inches", yet now they make a 4" lift.

These are a couple I was ranting about, along with A.*.*.   I searched this name here on the mc board looks like i'm not the only one.

I remember that now.  That's el-sucko!  Sadly Marlin kinda ran through that recently, but from what I've seen they've nearly got it all straightened out now.  I firmly believe that if you don't have something in stock it should be plainly stated, and if you ordered it off their site then it should stop you at checkout and inform you of such details, then give you the option to be contacted when said items are in.  I honestly don't understand buying shocks hoops and such, but then again not everybody has access to metal working tools and welders, or actually enjoys making things.

I deal with Marlin, make it myself, or buy it used, period (Summit is also good, but speaking strictly of Toyota stuff).  Marlin got me an L52HD in a week for my dd which was a delivery truck at the time.  I have heard the horror stories from other companies and figured its best to just forgo that headache and deal with the people you know to be reliable.  It is kinda like any automotive company - you get what you pay for.

Its too bad Marlin doesn't carry everything...then we could just by a new 85 from him and be done with it!

Yeah A*R sucks.  :bash:They told me 90 days at the most to make my kit. 11 months latter I had all the kit in my hands. I couldn't contact them for 5 weeks at one point. If I see Kevin at the TLCA cruise Moab we WILL have words. :boxing:
