what they mean is if you are gonna coast, pull the tranny into neutral and then coast, dont just step on the clutch, doing so will cause the clutch to get over spun and fail.
You obviously didn't understand my post. I'm not saying to coast down hills, I said if yor going to coast, not to just step on the clutch, but to put it in neutral. Reread my post.
As did I, and 4RunnerChevy is correct. What else would you expect to happen if you depress the clutch under the torque load doubles generate. BOOM! And who needs a clutch at that speed anyways?
so whats the trick to going down a rocky steep hill without using brakes? 1st gear + Nuetral (case1) + 4Lo (case2)... please help clarify??
